How cooling is preserved in the Refrigerator? |
The cabinet of a Refrigerator is filled with a thermal insulation material such as poly urethane foam which will help in preserving the cooling.
| 9. |
Why does the Refrigerator make some noise while running? |
The Refrigerating system has a compressor which works like heart to pump Refrigerant. The electrical motor along with pump will have running noise.
| 10. |
Why gasket is required on Refrigerator door? |
The door provided on the Refrigerator is to allow the customer to keep and take out food conveniently. While the door is closed, gasket seals the Refrigerator compartment from outside, so that cooling is preserved. To achieve this, a flexible rubber gasket with magnet is provided on the door.

Normally this phenomenon is observed in the monsoon season. During this period, there will be high level of relative humidity in the atmosphere, where as the cabinet of a Refrigerator will be cool, there by the moisture condenses on the body.
| 13. |
Why Refrigerator should not be kept in direct sunlight? |
Refrigerator being the cooling machine keeps working continuously to produce cooling inside compartment i.e., in other words, removes heat from the items and compartment and the same is transmitted out. Any source of heating like sunlight will raise the temperature around the Refrigerator and heat transfer will not be efficient. Hence it is not advisable to keep the Refrigerator under the direct sunlight.

Is the Sanyo Microwave Cooking System safe? |
The Microwave Cooking System is similar to television and radio sets at home. This is because all these equipments rely on electromagnetic waves. A radio converts electromagnetic wave into sound waves, television sets converts into images. A microwave cooking system converts these into heat, which is used for cooking.
| 2. |
What are the cavity sizes? |
EMS 1563 and EMG 2563 has 20 litre cavity.
EMG 5590V has 25 litre cavity.
EMC 6599V has 28 litre cavity.

Why do some cakes rise well in the Microwave System and sinks after removing From the oven ? |
Too much of air trapped in the cake mixture tries to escape while heating the mixture to form cake, causing it to rise well in the cooking system. But when the same is taken out, sinks as the air is released during cooling.
| 4. |
What kind of cookware can I use while cooking in my Microwave Cooking System? |
You could use pottery, chinaware, glassware, stoneware and ceramic-ware. You could also use paper and microwave proof plastic containers for shorter heating periods only . |
| 5. |
Does microwave energy pass through the viewing screen in the door? |
No. The metal screen bounces the energy back into the system cavity. The holes (or ports) are made to allow light to pass through. They do not let microwave energy to pass through.
| 6. |
is standing time recommended after microwave cooking is over? |
Standing time allows foods to continue cooking evenly throughout for a few moments after the actual microwave system cooking cycle. The amount of standing time depends upon the density of the food.
| 7. |
Why is an additional time required for cooking food stored in a refrigerator? |
As in conventional cooking, the initial temperature of food affects total cooking time. More time is needed to cook just taken out of a refrigerator versus food at room temperature.
| 8. |
How many models of microwave cooking system are available? |
Presently there are five models. EMS1563, EMG2563, EMG5590V, EMC6599V
| 9. |
Please let me know some simple microwave cooking techniques by which cooking is done faster ? |
Many of the techniques used in microwave cooking care similar to those used in conventional cooking. They help in uniformly distributing the microwave energy in the food, and result in faster cooking.
a) SIZE: Small pieces cook faster than large ones. To speedup cooking, cut pieces smaller than 5 cm, so that microwave penetrates to the center from all sides quickly.
b) STARTING TEMPERATURE: Frozen or refrigerated food takes longer time to heat than food at room temperature. Hence it is recommended that refrigerated food be brought to room temperature before cooking.
c) DENSITY: The depth to which microwaves penetrate food varies, depending upon the food density. Porous food like minced beef or mashed potatoes cooks faster than dense ones like steak or whole potato.
d) ARRANGING FOOD: As in microwave cooking food is cooked from outside surface to inside & to the center, while arranging foods like chicken ,fish or vegetables, place the thicker or more dense portions of food to the outside with the thinner or less dense pieces to the inside.

| 11. |
What else can my Sanyo Microwave Cooking System do apart from cooking, baking, roasting and reheating? |
You could use your Sanyo Microwave Cooking System to make bread crumbs, to dry herbs, freshen soggy biscuits and salted mixtures, roast nuts and blanch almonds. |
| 12. |
Is Microwave cooking healthy? |
Yes. At least a glass of water must be used as load. Never run it empty or without the turntable for microwave or micro/convection/grill combination cooking.
TIPS ON USE
1. Place half a glass of water in the microwave cooking system while baking a cake, to prevent it from becoming dry.
2. Place the food inside the preheated system quickly. If the door is left open too long, the heated air will escape and the temperature will drop.
3. The models with stainless steel cavity should be cleaned with a detergent specially formulated for stainless steel. After convection cooking in particular, the interior of the system may be stained with spattered oil. It is recommended that the system be cleaned each time after use before the oil spatters harden and become difficult to remove. Do not use rough or scratchy pads or cleaners.
4. For best performance and safety, the inner door pan and the system front frame should be free of food or grease build-up. Wipe both often with a mild detergent. Then rinse and wipe dry. Never use rough powders or pads.
5. In a microwave, rice is cooked by the absorption method, in water just sufficient to get absorbed by the end of the cooking time.
6. While baking a cake, remember that a moist mixture is most successful in a microwave oven. Add one-two spoonful of water or milk to the cake batter to get a softer than usual consistency.
7. Use fresh meat mince for koftas and kabobs, since frozen mince tends to shrink while being cooked.
8. You can create the smoothest sauces in the microwave, easily doing away with the endless stirring and tedious washing of sticking pans. For sauces to develop flavour or sauces, which contain eggs, that may curdle, cook on medium or medium low.
